ESPAÑOLA – During a check presentation ceremony Tuesday afternoon at Española Pathways Shelter, Enterprise Bank & Trust Market President Liddie Martinez presented a $10,000 check to shelter CEO Cristian Madrid-Estrada in support of the non-profit organization, which assists the homeless.
Martinez spoke about the reasons the bank supports the shelter.
“Enterprise Bank supports affordable housing through direct financing for housing developments, funding mortgage subsidy programs and sponsoring Federal Home Loan Bank grants but some families and individuals still fall through the cracks as the nation struggles with the decline in affordable housing,” Martinez said. “By supporting our local Española Pathways Shelter, we increase access to emergency shelter, transitional housing and support services for those in greatest need.”
Madrid-Estrada said, “The Española Pathways Shelter and its Board of Directors are greatly appreciative of this very generous contribution from Enterprise Bank & Trust. Their commitment and support in helping our local organizations and our community is heartfelt and greatly appreciated. Thank you for making a difference! To date the Española Pathways Shelter has provided over 12,000 meals and served over 3,500 instances of individuals experiencing homelessness, as well as had 10 recent graduates come out of our Transitional Housing Program and maintain not only their sobriety, but also stable employment and housing in their lives. Our work is possible through contributions and support such as the support we receive from Enterprise Bank & Trust.”
