We have been hearing a lot of rumors that people want New Mexico Game and Fish to move a mother bear and her three incredible babies from Los Alamos.
This is what happens. Springer, the first bear was bitten by another bear and is lucky to be alive. Half of her pelvis was severely infected. Sandia is an orphan and was found starving to death.
Anywhere a bear is moved is another bear’s territory. Mother will attempt to go back to hers and may have to cross highways, etc. All spelling disaster for her and her cubs.

WASHINGTON, D.C. — U.S. Sen. Martin Heinrich (D-N.M.) and U.S. Rep. Paul Tonko (D-N.Y.) are urging congressional leaders to prioritize a clean energy recovery plan in upcoming economic relief and recovery packages to deal with the impacts of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19).

SANTA FE – Santa Fe Botanical Garden will open its Museum Hill site to members only June 11-12 and to the public June 13.
The new hours are 9 a.m. to noon and 2-5 p.m. and all visitors must make reservations in advance, including members (member reservations are free).

Two weeks ago I wrote about Camp May, the getaway for senior boys at the Los Alamos Ranch School (LARS), but there was also another camp, one primarily used by the younger boys. Camp Hamilton has a longer, more detailed history.

Community Invited To Jemez Riders Cleanup Event Saturday
Jemez Riders News:
The Jemez Riders are organizing a cleanup event 8 a.m. to noon for this Saturday, June 6th.
Volunteers will be located at both the Anderson Overlook and the Y Parking Area handing out supplies.
There will be safety vests, trash bags, trash grabbers, gloves, sunscreen, water and donuts available.
Jemez Riders Atomic City, USA t-shirts will be given to the first 10 volunteers who show up to help out.
For those not able to volunteer, be patient when traveling down the Main Hill Road on Saturday morning. 8:00 – 12:00.
