EPA Appoints Ken McQueen Region 6 Administrator

DALLAS, Texas -–– U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Administrator Andrew Wheeler announced today the appointment of Ken McQueen of New Mexico to become regional administrator for Region 6.
McQueen will oversee environmental protection efforts in the states of New Mexico, Arkansas, Louisiana, Oklahoma and Texas and in 66 Tribal Nations. He has extensive experience in public service and industry working in the south central region of the United States on water, natural resource and energy issues.
McQueen will join the agency having most recently worked as

Across North America, a number of species that were reduced by overhunting and loss of forested habitat in the 1800s are rebounding. This sometimes results in wildlife living near populated areas.
