With the announcement that Los Alamos National Laboratory will remain closed Thursday due to weather conditions, Atomic City Transit will not offer peak bus service tomorrow – but bus routes will be back up and running otherwise.

County Update On Christmas Tree Recycling
COUNTY News:
Local Christmas tree recycling won’t begin until next week.
Los Alamos County Environmental Services is asking residents not to put Christmas trees curbside before Jan. 8 because if the community gets another storm Saturday and Sunday, the discarded trees may be frozen to the ground, making it difficult for crews to collect them as the process is manual collection rather than automated.

SANTA FE – Commissioner of Public Lands Stephanie Garcia Richard (SGR) of Los Alamos took office Tuesday and has announced her first appointments to help oversee the State Land Office.
The State Land Office has 14 exempt positions, which serve at the pleasure of the Commissioner of Public Lands.
