ESPAÑOLA – The City of Española is proud to announce that it will be the official host and sponsoring entity of the 2024 Española Annual Electric Light Parade. The much-anticipated event is set to take place on Saturday, Dec. 14, 2024, at the Plaza de Española, promising an exciting new arrangement of activities and events for the community and visitors alike.

It takes over operations for the annual Española event which has been coordinated since its inception in 1996 by the Downtown Action Team of Española, formerly known as Española MainStreet.

As a cherished tradition, the Electric Light Parade brings joy and holiday spirit to the heart of Española. This year, the City is planning to elevate the festivities with an enhanced lineup of activities and surprises that will make the 2024 parade an unforgettable experience for all attendees. From dazzling light displays to festive music, food vendors, and family-friendly entertainment, the City of Española aims to create a magical evening that celebrates community, culture, and the holiday season.

“We are thrilled to host and sponsor this year’s Electric Light Parade,” Mayor John Ramon Vigil said. “Our excellent team is working diligently to ensure that the 2024 parade is the best yet, we are grateful for all the hard work and years of tireless service that Christine Bustos and the Downtown Action Team of Española did to make this the widely renown and successful event it has evolved into.”

The City of Española encourages all interested parties, whether community members, local organizations, or businesses, to join in the celebration by participating in the parade or becoming event sponsors.
