EAA News:
The Northern New Mexico Chapter 691 of the Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA) is hosting a full-day Young Eagles Workshop Saturday, April 26, 2025, at the Los Alamos Airport terminal building. This hands-on, STEM-focused event is designed for kids ages 8 to 17 who are curious about aviation and eager to learn how airplanes fly, navigate, and communicate.
Throughout the day, participants will:
- Explore the science of flight through engaging presentations and demonstrations
- Build and test aircraft structures in hands-on engineering activities
- Experience the thrill of flying with flight simulators that teach the basics of aircraft control
- Tour real aircraft on the ramp and learn about their design and operation
Schedule:
- 8 a.m. – Registration & Aircraft Tours
- 4 p.m. – Workshop Conclusion
What to Bring: Participants should bring their own lunch, but snacks and drinks will be provided.
