ACRR News:
Joey Farmer was the best predictor in the Atomic City Road Runner’s (ACRR) weekly pace race held Tuesday on the paved courses starting at Pinon Park (Rocket Park) in White Rock. He had a 11 second difference from his predicted time.
Other accurate predictors were:
- Chris Michel at 14 seconds off;
- Steve Daly and Jan Velechovsky tied with a 15 second differential with Daly also the top finisher on the 1-mile course at 11:15;
- Catherine Hensley at 18 seconds off as well as the best female finisher in the 1-mile distance recording a 17:24; and
- Madeline Harms with a 20 second difference.
2-mile course:
- Teddy Atkins, Junior was first with a time of 21:02; and
- Lily Nolen, 12, was the top female at 26:07.
3-mile distance:
- James Zola was the best finisher recording a 21:07; and
- Lynn Bjorklund was the first female with a time of 26:01.
Next week’s race is 6 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 20 at the County Aquatic Center on Canyon Road.
1 mile paved and 1- and 3-mile trail runs will be available.
