Santa Fe — New Mexico Department of Health (NMDOH) Secretary Dr. Tracie Collins spoke Thursday afternoon at a White House webinar on collaboration between New Mexico state agencies and community- and faith-based organizations for effective COVID-19 vaccine communication.
The event, titled “All In: Partnering with Community and Faith Organizations in COVID-19 Vaccination Efforts” – included commentary from the following participants:

U.S. SENATE News:
WASHINGTON, D.C. — Thursday, U.S. Senators Martin Heinrich (D-N.M.) and Ben Ray Luján (D-N.M.) announced that the Economic Development Administration (EDA) is awarding $3.5 million in CARES Act Recovery Assistance grants to help the state of New Mexico prevent, prepare for, and respond to coronavirus.
EDA investments announced Thursday:
- Gila Regional Medical Center (GRMC), Silver City, will receive a $2.5 million EDA CARES Act Recovery Assistance grant to make roof renovations and HVAC improvements. The project, to be matched with $250,000 in local funds, is expected

SANTA FE – The New Mexico Department of Health (NMDOH) announced today the updated statewide COVID-19 map for the two-week period beginning April 21.
Los Alamos remains one of 14 New Mexico counties at the Turquoise Level and three counties are at the Green Level, at which there are fewer restrictions on commercial and day-to-day activities amid decreased virus risk.
The majority of the state’s counties reached or remain at the least restrictive levels.

Saturday, April 24, the Los Alamos Police Department will be conducting its biannual DEA Drug Take Back Day.
This will be held in the South parking lot (Trinity Drive Justice Center Lot) of the Los Alamos Police Department.

State Department Of Health Announces COVID-19 Vaccine Self-Scheduling For New Mexicans 40 Years And Older

SANTA FE — The New Mexico Department of Health (NMDOH) Monday announced that vaccineNM.org registrants who are 40 years and older can now schedule their own COVID-19 vaccine appointments.
