SANTA FE—The New Mexico Department of Health (DOH) issued public health guidance today for New Mexicans ahead of Sunday’s Super Bowl.

The installation of outdoor learning shade structures at school sites in the district began this week with holes being drilled for poles at Chamisa Elementary School in White Rock.

The good news is that New Mexico has done very well compared to most states in using the vaccine given to it. New Mexico also has a very well-organized approach to registering for and administering vaccines, compared to most states.

Curative’s COVID Testing Continues At Overlook Park

COUNTY News:
Residents who would like to be tested for COVID-19 have easy access to testing right here in Los Alamos County.
They can visit the Curative-staffed testing site at Overlook Park in White Rock by simply registering online for a test slot and then driving to the park.
The page to register for the hosted bi-weekly event is below and the event is held 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. every Tuesday and Thursday.
This is the easy-to-do “saliva swab” test that is free and offered by Curative and the next test is Thursday, Feb. 4.

The New Mexico Environment Department (NMED) issued citations to O’Reilly Auto Parts (O’Reilly) for violations of the Occupational Health and Safety Act that resulted in an unsafe workplace.

The citations were issued for violations by management to protect employees from exposure to COVID-19. NMED assessed penalties of $242,827.20 for the violations.

SANTA FE – The New Mexico Department of Health (DOH) announced today that it would follow federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) guidance and expand the time window for administering the second dose of approved COVID-19 vaccines.
