Los Alamos County reports 5 new cases today … the total is now 98 people who have tested positive for COVID-19.
Today’s update includes 26 new deaths in New Mexico related to COVID-19.
The New Mexico Department of Health reported today the most recent cases:
- 993 new cases in Bernalillo County
- 5 new cases in Catron County

Now more than ever our small businesses need our support. Tuesday some non-essential businesses in Los Alamos were visited by the New Mexico State Police who said they were following up on reports by concerned citizens that these businesses were open illegally.

The New Mexico Environment Department (NMED) has updated its daily Rapid Response COVID-19 Watchlist, which includes New Mexico places of employment that have had two or more rapid responses in the last 14 days.

Los Alamos County announced this morning the following changes in facility hours or closures.
These changes and closures are due to the Governor’s latest Amended Public Health Order and restrictions that are now in place effective today and continuing for the next two weeks.
Changes in facility hours or closures:
- Fuller Lodge is closed;
- Lemon Lot is closed for business; no new permits issued;
- Mesa and White Rock libraries, which had re-opened with some limited services inside, are closed, and returning to curbside service only; and

Los Alamos County Recreation Facilities Now Closed Per Governor’s Amended Public Health Order Until further Notice

All Los Alamos County Recreation Facilities and Parks are closed effective today, as part of the Governor’s amended Public Health Order issued Friday, Nov. 13.
While this order is in place, the Los Alamos County Golf Course, Aquatic Center, Tennis Courts, Athletic Fields, Pavilions, Basketball Courts, Special Use Parks (RC, Skate Parks) and Covered Arena on North Mesa are now closed.

Los Alamos County Curtails Access To Services Within Municipal Building Per Amended Public Health Order
COUNTY News:
Because of the Governor’s amended public health order, which takes effect today, access to services within the Municipal Building will be curtailed for the next two weeks.
Although the building’s doors will remain unlocked for individuals to enter the building, the doors to interior suites will be locked.

Senior Centers Serve 100 Meals Each Via Drive Thru Friday
The White Rock and Betty Ehart senior centers each served 100 meals through their drive thru service Friday, as they celebrated their Thanksgiving meal. The senior centers are considered essential services, even during the stay at home order. Membership and many services are free for those 60 years of age and older. Services include; grocery shopping, prescription pick up, library book delivery, home delivered meals, drive through lunches and transportation. NCRTD Blue Bus Routes Districtwide Temporarily Suspended Due To Employees Testing Positive For Coronavirus
NCRTD News:
North Central Regional Transit District (NCRTD) Blue Bus routes, districtwide, will be temporarily suspended effective immediately.
Three employees based in the RTD Taos facility have tested positive for coronavirus. Some of these positive employees had interacted with employees from the Española facility.
To guarantee proper safety measures, while taking extra precautions to ensure the safety of all employees and passengers, all services will be placed on hold.
