ABIQUIU LAKE – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Albuquerque District, has detected signs of a potentially toxic Blue-Green Algae bloom at the lake. 

Warning signs are posted at the lake’s public access points, and visitors are advised to:

  • Avoid swallowing lake water;
  • Do not touch algal scums;
  • DO NOT drink untreated lake water;
  • Use caution when swimming, water skiing and coming into contact with lake water;
  • Keep pets and livestock off the beach and out of the water;

All Together NM Fund Provides $500K More In Food Grants 

STATE News:

SANTA FE – A state COVID-19 relief fund launched at the outset of the pandemic in New Mexico this week contributed an additional $500,000 to food banks and pantries statewide.

The All Together NM Fund, launched by Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham in collaboration with the New Mexico Coalition of Community Foundations, distributed the last rounds of funds to 39 food banks and food distribution sites serving communities in all 33 counties in the state.

The latest distribution was made possible in large part by a generous donation from the McKinnon Family Foundation.

ALBUQUERQUE—Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham will give the keynote address at this year’s New Mexico KIDS COUNT Conference.
