Tom Udall (D-N.M.), ranking member of the Senate Appropriations Subcommittee on Interior, Environment and Related Agencies, along with Senators Ron Wyden (D-Ore.) and Jeff Merkley (D-Ore.), wrote a letter to U.S. Secretary of the Interior David Bernhardt urging the U.S. Department of Interior (DOI) to immediately suspend any policy proposals or actions unrelated to the COVID-19 emergency that require a public comment period until the threats of COVID-19 have subsided.

New Mexico Health Dept., City Of Albuquerque Announce COVID-19 Outbreak, Deaths At Long-Term Care Facility

SANTA FE — The New Mexico Department of Health (NMDOH) and the City of Albuquerque reported Friday an outbreak of COVID-19 at the La Vida Llena long-term care facility in Albuquerque where two residents have died, and 19 residents and three staff members have tested positive for COVID-19, with additional test results still pending.

The resident deaths consist of a man in his 90s and a man in his 80s, both had underlying health conditions. The man in his 90s died Thursday, April 2; the other in his 80s died early this Friday morning.

New Mexico COVID-19 Cases At 495, 3 More Deaths

SANTA FE – New Mexico state health officials announced today 92 additional positive tests for COVID-19.

The update includes three additional deaths related to COVID-19​.

Per the New Mexico Department of Health, the most recent cases are:

  • 39 new cases in Bernalillo County
  • 3 new case in Cibola County
  • 1 new case in Doña Ana County
  • 8 new cases in McKinley County
  • 26 new cases in Sandoval County
  • 9 new cases in San Juan County
  • 4 new case in Socorro County
  • 2 new cases counties not yet identified

New Mexico Governor, Officials Hold COVID-19 Update

New Mexico Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham this afternoon presenting the latest update on the COVID-19 pandemic and the state’s response. She demonstrates various types of PPE including masks, respirators and gowns. NCRTD To Temporarily Modify 11 Blue Bus Routes To Provide Essential Trips Only; Red River Route Suspended

While continuing to provide an essential service during the COVID-19 outbreak, the North Central Regional Transit District (RTD Blue Bus) has identified 11 of its 29 routes that will be modified beginning Wednesday, April 8 and one that will be suspended.
