Family Strengths Network will have a free preview of its new class: Zumba Kids Jr, 3-3:45 p.m. Monday Feb. 26 at Family Strengths Network, 3540 Orange St.

The class officially begins Monday, March 5 and is designed for kids ages 2.5-5 years and their parents/guardians.

Zumba® Kids, Jr classes are rockin’, high-energy dance parties packed with kid friendly routines. They break down steps, add games, activities and cultural exploration elements into the class structure. Classes incorporate key childhood development elements such as leadership, respect, teamwork, confidence, self-esteem, memory, creativity, coordination, balance, cultural awareness.

Zumba Kids Jr. helps develop a healthy lifestyle and incorporate fitness as a natural part of children’s lives. At the end of the session, they showcase all the cool moves the kids have learned.

Kate Ramsey is a licensed Zumba, Zumba Gold, Zumba Kids, and Zumbini instructor. She can’t wait to dance and have fun with those precious kiddos. She has lived in Los Alamos for nine years and holds a master’s degree in communication.
