BOY SCOUTS OF AMERICA News:
CHIMAYO — Maintained and staffed by the Scouters of the Great Southwest Council, Gorham Scout Ranch is a nationally accredited Scouts BSA summer camp for boys and girls enrolled in scouting programs across New Mexico, Arizona, Colorado and Utah.
Located in the western foothills of the Sangre de Cristo mountains, Gorham Scout Ranch is committed to providing memorable and impactful experiences in a variety of ways each and every summer in its unique and enriching setting.
Because of this commitment, Gorham Scout Ranch is excited to announce a digital alternative to its summer camp program in light of the cancellation of in-person camp programs.
Running from June 15 to July 10, Gorham Scout Ranch’s Cyber Summer will be an engaging and exciting program aiming to provide a socially distant camp experience and help all Scouts make advancements from home this summer.
The camp staff is committed to providing both prepared material as well as live instruction for each of our 15 rotating merit badges and 4 repeating Eagle-required merit badges, totaling 19 different merit badges offered. These include camp staples and uncommon badges that are uniquely fit for this unprecedented program.
Gorham Scout Ranch’s Cyber Summer will get Scouts of any variety out in their communities in a safe and engaging manner during their socially distant summer. Initial registration includes a unique 2020 t-shirt and patch, 4 merit badge classes, and opportunities to participate in digital non-advancement activities such as campfires, evening programs, honor troop recognition, and an adult-specific scoutmaster merit badge program.
Priced at an affordable $70 initial registration fee ($65 if registering as a troop), and $25 for each subsequent week, Scouts are invited to return for multiple weeks, having the opportunity to make new and exciting advancements each session.
