A happy rock is discovered Friday on Chamisa Street left in memory of William Bernard who died March 15, 2020. After serving honorably in the U.S. Merchant Marines during World War II, Bernard earned a degree in Mechanical Engineering and moved to town to work at Los Alamos National Laboratory until he retired in 1987. Los Alamos was the perfect place for him because of his love of the outdoors. He was a founding member of Explorer Post 20. Photo by Ken Hanson
