Hensley Is Best Predictor In Weekly Pace Race

ACRR News:

Catherine Hensley was the top predictor this the Atomic City Road Runner weekly pace race held on the trail behind the County Aquatic Center. She was 9 seconds off her predicted time as well as the first female finisher on the 1 mile paved course recording a 17:23. 

Other accurate predictors were: 

  • Ted Atkins, Senior with a 24 second differential;
  • Elizabeth Atkins recording a 30 second difference;
  • Paul Geimer and Iris Geimer, 1, at 39 seconds off as well as the top finisher in the 1 mile paved distance at 6:54; and
  • Lily Nolen, 12, with a 60 second differential and the best female finisher on the 1 mile trail course with a time of 13:42.

On the 1 mile trail course:

  • Hal Marshall was first at 10:57.

On the 3 mile trail distance:

  • Valerio Pinchetti was the best finisher recording a 25:24; and
  • Madeline Harms was the top female with a time of 32:11.

Next week’s race is 6 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 27 and will start on North Mesa off San Ildefonso Road past the soccer field and taking a left on the access road in the open field to the playground/tennis courts. 1 mile paved and 1 and 3 mile trail runs will be available.
