Hesperus Ski Area News:
Hesperus Ski Area kicked off the 2022/23 season Saturday with tubing and uphill skiing. The Tubing Hill is open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. today, Jan.1.
Hesperus will be closed Monday through Wednesday, Jan. 2-4, and re-open for tubing Thursday, Jan. 5. Visit ski-hesperus.com/tubing for pricing and more information.
Uphill access is now available but only when lift-served skiing is not operating and requires a valid season pass to be displayed at all times. Read the full uphill policy here.
Lift-served skiing is expected to start next weekend, but mountain officials are unable to confirm at this time. Sitting at 8,888 feet above sea level, Hesperus relies on natural snowfall to operate. While Hesperus received very little snow in December, recent storms have brought much-needed snowfall to both Hesperus and Durango, with more on the way.
Mountain Capital Partners is committed to maintaining Hesperus as an affordable, family-friendly ski area. MCP will continue to invest in capital improvements at Hesperus to improve the skier experience. Stay tuned for Ski-Hesperus.com for further updates.
