Hold on to your hat if you are out walking around Ashley Pond today or pretty much anywhere around the state. The National Weather Service in Abuquerque predicts widespread high winds will impact much of New Mexico today. Widespread gusts of 50 to 70 mph are expected which will likely create areas of blowing dust on the eastern plains and blowing snow in the northern and western mountains when a cold front crosses the state.
