COUNTY News:

The Los Alamos County Council is holding a joint meeting with the Department of Public Utilities Board beginning at 7 p.m. Tuesday.

Councilors and DPU board members will share the dais in Council Chambers at the Municipal Building, 1000 Central Ave., during this special session.

This joint meeting stems from the fact that Council leadership has requested that each Board/Commission or Committee Chair make a presentation to the Council once a year focused on what has been completed and what they are working on, and what challenges or opportunities they see coming up in the future.

Topics of discussion at Tuesday’s meeting include a briefing to Council by DPU Board Chair Jeff Johnson, the Gas Rate Structure and a Gas Subfund Transfer to the Wastewater Subfund.

The meeting is open to the public.
