Los Alamos Makers News:

Los Alamos Makers is offering weekly sewing classes for beginners of all ages (kids and adults are welcome). Classes are scheduled for Wednesdays, June 11, 18 and 25. Students will have an opportunity to make small projects like coasters, table runners, zippered makeup bags, and recycled projects.

The objective of the class is to get comfortable enough with the machine to understand its capabilities, troubleshoot problems, and have a chance to experiment.

Materials and machines will be available onsite, but participants are encouraged to bring their own sewing machine and scissors if available.

Space is limited to 10 students per class. Reserve a spot at www.LosAlamosMakers.org/Sewing or sign up for the sewing meetup at https://www.meetup.com/los-alamos-sewing-meetup/.

Los Alamos Makers is now located at 1789 Central Ave., inside the Blue Window/Ruby K building. The organization holds a monthly open house at 5  p.m. on the second Tuesday of the month.
