LAHS Boys & Girls Track & Field Teams To Compete At Great Southwest Classic And Nike Nationals

LAPS News:

Twenty-two members of the state champion Los Alamos High School track and field team are competing at the Great Southwest Track and Field Classic June 6-8 at the University of New Mexico.

In addition, eight athletes will be competing at the Nike Outdoor Nationals at Hayward Field at the University of Oregon June 12-15.

Colette Bibeault, Meredith Brown, Daniel Kim, Julian Singell, Grace Montoya, Jenna Montoya, Danielle Trellue and Anna Wetteland are heading to Oregon next week.

The relay team of Colette, Meredith, Jenna and Anna is ranked 5th in the nation.

Brayden Allen, Rebecca Beaux, Elizabeth Buck, Maya Graves, Jacob Hilderbrand, Ensley Jorgenson, Amelia Hill, Allie Holland, Armando Inbody, Aiden Manzanares, Gus Ovaska, Riana Passalacqua, Jayden Ramirez and Siena Rolfe will join their teammates in New Mexico at the GSW.

Both competitions are high level and draw elite athletes from across the southwest and the nation.

Head Coach of the girls track and field team is Ernest Martinez. Steven Montoya is the head coach for the boys track and field team.
