SPORTS News:

The Los Alamos High School Girls Wrestling team competed in the Sartan Scuffle at St. Pius in Albuquerque Friday and Saturday, finishing 9th overall.

“They showed dedication and resilience through a long two days of wrestling,” LAHS Girls Wrestling Head Coach Emily Tew said.

The team will compete next at Los Alamos High School, 4 p.m., Wednesday, Jan 24 and at Pojoaque High School, 11 a.m., Friday and Saturday, Jan. 26-27.

Individual Results:

• Jade Blackhart – 1st  (145 weight class)
• Gala Nelson – 4th  (107 weight class)
• Wendy Sheppard – 4th  (138 weight class)
