JEWISH CENTER News:

Over the past six weeks, Los Alamos Jewish Center (LAJC) has been raising funds to shop for L.A. Cares. L.A. Cares is a small, independent organization, providing help to the needy of Los Alamos County. They provide both financial help and supplemental food help.

The Los Alamos Jewish Center raised more than $1,500 to purchase food. Students from the LAJC Religious School along with their teachers and parents purchased and delivered ten shopping carts full of needed items, along with a trailer full of donated items that had been delivered to the Los Alamos Jewish Center.

 “It’s good to help people who don’t have enough to eat,”  one six-year-old Religious School students said.

LAJC would like to say thank you to Smith’s Marketplace for helping us find the items needed and a special thank you to Michelle and Adriana for being their cashier and packing everything.
