LANB Employees Evacuate Due To Burning Odor

A line of Los Alamos National Bank employees wait in the bank parking lot this afternoon while Los Alamos Firefighters check out a burning electrical odor permeating inside the building at 1200 Trinity Dr. Los Alamos Market President Liddie Martinez explained the burning electrical odor set off the building’s alarm around 1:10 p.m. and the fire department immediately responded to the scene. Martinez said the fire department did a full sweep of the building but the smell was concentrated to the second floor. She said the bank’s facility contractor for the alarm system also was in route to the scene. Martinez said everyone was accounted for and the rules were followed. ‘It was all smooth,’ she said.
