Manvendra Dubey, a Los Alamos National Laboratory climate scientist, has received a J. William Fulbright scholarship to conduct monsoon-related research in India.
The Divecha Center for Climate Change and Center for Atmospheric Science at the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, will host the researcher in late 2012 for several months. Memorial Celebration of Dr. George Cowan’s Life is May 20
A memorial celebration of Dr. George Cowan’s life and achievements will be held from 1-4 p.m. in the Lumpkins Ballroom of the La Fonda Hotel in Santa Fe, New Mexico on Sunday, May 20.
Dr. Cowan, 92, renowned scientist, entrepreneur, and philanthropist passed away at his home on April 20.
Dr. Cowan, a Massachusetts native, participated in the Manhattan Project and had been a scientist and researcher at Los Alamos National Laboratory since 1949.
Dr. Cowan served on numerous boards in his lifetime and was appointed to the White House Science Council during the Reagan administration. Read More
