LAPD Holds Active Shooter Training: ‘Run, Hide, Fight’

Los Alamos Police Officers  Sgt. Chris Ross, left, Cpl. Jack Casias and Sgt. Daniel Roberts teach an Active Shooter class today at the Los Alamos County Municipal Building. The instructors taught to the phrase ‘Run, Hide, Fight’, telling people to run if they can, hide if they are stuck, and if the shooter finds you, then fight with whatever you can from hot coffee to sharp pencils. LAPD already has taught this class to Los Alamos Public Schools staff as well as at Zia Credit Union, the Los Alamos Teen Center and various Los Alamos National Laboratory buildings. The goal of the training is to create survivors, not victims in the event of an active shooter incident. Photo by Maire O’Neill/adailypost.com
