Los Alamos High School (LAHS) and Los Alamos Middle School (LAMS) are gearing up for the 2023 volleyball season.

There will be a mandatory meeting, 6-7 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 10 in the LAHS Speech Theater next to the Auxiliary Gym at LAHS for all parents and players in grades 7-12  interested in playing volleyball this year.

Volleyball at LAHS is open to all Incoming 9th through 12th graders. Griffith Gym will be available for volleyball 3:30-5:30 p.m. Aug. 8, 9 and 10. Tryouts will be held 3:30-6:30 p.m. Monday, Aug. 14 and 3:30-6 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 15. Teams will be announced Aug. 15 following tryouts.

The LAMS volleyball program is open to incoming 7th and 8th graders. Open gym dates at the LAMS gym 3-4:15 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 10 for 7th graders and 4:15-5:30 p.m. Friday, Aug. 11 for 8th graders. The gym will be open 3-5 p.m. for 7th graders and 5-7 p.m. for 8th graders. Tryouts are 3-5 p.m. for 7th graders Monday, Aug. 14 and Tuesday, Aug. 15. Tryouts for 8th graders will be 5-7 p.m. on the same dates. Teams will be announced at 4 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 16.
