LAPS News:

Join Los Alamos Public Schools (LAPS) Director of Technology Sal Zapien as he hosts a discussion that will focus on setting our elementary-aged students up for success including building up protective factors, talking to children about using tech at home, creating and sticking to guidelines, and using tools to manage devices.

Let’s C.H.A.A.T. – Creating Healthy Attitudes Around Technology will be held 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept.  7 at SALA, 2551 Central Ave. This is the first in a weekly series during September designed to raise awareness and offer strategies to improve children, teens and family mental health.

Mental Health Matters will also feature Screenagers Next Chapter on Sept. 14 and Screenagers Under the Influence on Sept. 21. These are recommended for students in 6th through 12th grades. Ask a Therapist will return on Sept. 28 and is designed for parents and caregivers. All events are free.

Families are encouraged to bring their children so that they can participate in the discussion. Snacks and drinks will be provided.
