LASG Opens 50th Season Shining Brightly At Judges Invite!

Los Alamos School of Gymnastics (LASG) opened its 50th season on the road with the Judges Invite recently at the Albuquerque Gymnastics School.

Emma Fadner was the high scorer of the day for Los Alamos. She won the Bronze senior division with a 36.65 and also took first place in all four events with 9.5 on vault, 9.375 on bars, 9.125 on beam and 8.65 on floor.

Addison Lowe took first in the Bronze Children’s division with 35.10. She also took first place on beam with a 9.175 and floor with an 8.20. Her vault score of 8.60 and her bar score of 9.125 were both good enough for second place, adding two silver medals to her three gold. 

Maya Ternet took the bronze on vault in this division with 8.55, and was fourth with a 32.675 all around. 

Savannah Caizza took the silver on the vault with 8.60 and fifth in the all around in this division. 

Sixth place went to Audrey Artnak with a 32.45. She also took silver on floor with 7.95 and bronze on bars with 8.95.

The bronze Junior division had two LASG competitors. Noelle Garduno, who took second all around with 35.325 and Hannah Meierbachtol who took third with 34.65. Garduno also took silver medals on the vault (8.90), beam (9.05), and floor (8.635). Here 8.75 was good enough for the bronze medal on bars.  Meierbachtol won the gold on bars with 9.20.

In the silver division competition, Ava Zadina was LASG’s high finisher. She took the silver medal in the childrens division all around with 35.15. She also took gold medals on the floor (9.25) and bars (9.00).  Also competing in this division, Lucy Meierbachtol was 4th with a 34.95. She won a gold medal on bars with a 9.0, a silver medal on floor with 9.0, and a bronze medal on beam with 8.05. 

Harmony Cutter was fifth in this division with 34.15. She also took a gold medal with her 9.40 on vault.  Emery Apperson was sixth, and took a silver medal on floor with 9.00.

In the Junior age Silver division, Serenity Tao took the all around gold with 35.45. She also took gold on the floor and vault, with a 9.45 on both events. Her 8.30 on balance beam was good enough for a bronze medal.

Nina Gyrya was fourth in this division with 34.40. Gyrya took two bronze event medals. One in floor with 8.85, and the other in bars with 8.70.

Kayla Daley was fifth in this division with 33.00, and Lucy Lindsay was sixth with 32.45.

In the older Juniors division, Addie Archuleta was fourth with 35.50. She won two silver medals. One on vault (9.20) and one on floor (8.80).

Tehya Thornton was sixth in this group with 34.30. She took a gold medal on bars with 9.05, a bronze on floor with 8.60.

Abbie Johnson competed in the senior age division, finishing fourth with 34.15. Johnson took a silver medal on floor with 9.05, and a bronze on vault with 9.10.

Two of LASG’s gold medalists competed in this meet. Teagan Brown was third all around in the seniors division with 33.825 and Caroline Erikson who finished fifth in the junior age division with 32.00. Brown took a silver medal on beam with 8.825. Erikson also took a silver medal on beam with 8.45.
