PEEC News:

The Pajarito Environmental Education Center (PEEC) is hosting a late-spring bird walk 6:30 a.m. Saturday, May 20.

Anyone curious about the birds seen around the Pajarito Plateau or who just love birding, this is the perfect opportunity to explore and learn.

The walk will be led by local bird expert Bob Walker, who will guide the group along the Acid Canyon trail, a one-mile easy hike without any steep sections. The trail is the perfect location for spotting some of the amazing birds that call the Pajarito Plateau home.

Participants will begin at the Los Alamos Nature Center. Admission is free, but registration is required and the walk is limited to only 10 attendees. Don’t miss this chance to discover the beauty of late spring birds and learn from a local expert.
