The Los Alamos Venture Accelerator (LAVA) will host a Pitch Contest 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 11, as part of the Los Alamos ScienceFest.
The event will take place at Fuller Lodge and more than $1,000 in prize money is available.
In the world of entrepreneurship, a quick speech opens doors. It can lead to meeting a team member or getting a check from an investor. Participants will have 60 seconds to sell judges on their-prize winning business venture ideas. Judges will include experienced entrepreneurs, investors and executives from the community.
Entrepreneurs forming a startup can use this event as an opportunity to develop ideas, meet co-founders, test product ideas and gather email signups. Novices who have never pitched a business idea still have a chance to win.
During the event Nicholas Seet, the founder of LAVA and several other startups, will share his secrets on how to create a killer elevator pitch. Seet has raised millions of dollars for his own startups and sold two of his ventures to FORTUNE 500 companies. He will reveal the techniques that make investors eager to open their wallets.
Anyone can enter the contest. Just show up!
