LWV Lunch With A Leader Features Dan Ungerleider Jan. 20

The Los Alamos League of Women Voters (LWV) next community event, Lunch with a Leader, is noon to 1 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 20 via Zoom.

This month’s leader is Los Alamos County Economic Development Administrator Dan Ungerleider.

Ungerleider is a certified city planner with more than 30 years experience in public and private sector planning. Since earning his BS Degree in Community and Regional Planning at Iowa State University, Ungerleider has been an active member of the community and economic development planning community.

Ungerleider is a dedicated advocate for the use of public-private partnerships and education to gain support for the creation of affordable and environmentally sustainable development.

Ungerleider specializes in all areas of urban and regional planning, including community and economic development, planning and zoning, permit and inspection services, appearance review, code enforcement, public outreach and facilitation, cross-functional team leadership, strategic planning, land acquisition, entitlement and development project management.

He and his family recently move to Los Alamos from the northern suburbs of Chicago. While he said they do miss their family and the big city back in Illinois, they are loving Los Alamos’ friendly town atmosphere and beautiful mountain landscapes.
