LEMONADE LIVING News:

With the backdrop of a real 100+ year old homestead cabin located at Los Alamos’ North Mesa Stables, The Gifted Horse and Homestead Ranch School will run their popular summer programs starting in June.

The Ranch Camp is for kids ages 6 to 16, and runs 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday. Each day includes ranch life and animal fun! 

June Camp activities: 

  • The Gifted Horse activities include daily horsemanship lessons in basic care, grooming and groundwork, and a weekly horseback riding session;
  • Homestead Ranch School activities include the history of homesteading on the Pajarito Plateau, Los Alamos Ranch School history, Los Alamos County Sheriff’s Posse and North Mesa Stables history and etiquette; crafts, fiber arts, earth and crop science activities, goat dairy and showmanship classes;
  • Breaks for lunch and afternoon snack.
