I appreciate the information about keeping sidewalks clear of brush and weeds. However; these aren’t the only things people leave on sidewalks.

 

My dog and I walk every morning in the area around Urban Park and people leave the large trash bins, kids’ basketball stands, and even cars protruding from their driveways on the sidewalk. It means that we have to walk into the street to get around. Sometimes it’s on a curve and drivers can’t see us until the last minute.

 

I’m not sure if there’s an ordinance for these obstructions as well as the brush, etc. Whether or not, it is only common courtesy and a step toward safety for people to  allow pedestrian access to the walks in front of their homes.
