Letter to the Editor: Comcast Literally Out-Of-Touch With Local Customers

By DAVID CARROLL
White Rock

I agree that Comcast is literally out-of-touch with its customers in Los Alamos/White Rock.

Using all the phone number accessible in the phone directory and on-line, I have not had successful contact with a real Comcast person. Best response has been a recording that says to come to the Santa Fe Comcast office during regular business hours.

Recently I needed a replacement remote control. After repeated unsuccessful attempts to contact Comcast, I resorted to chasing-down a Comcast service van in my neighborhood and obtained one from the technician. All my previous contact with the Comcast service technicians has demonstrated they are technically proficient, pleasant, and eager to please the customer – attributes apparently not shared by their management.

I believe Comcast operates within Los Alamos county under a franchise agreement. I suggest Comcast customers unhappy with their service contact County Council. Comcast apparently doesn’t care.
