I walk my mid-sized dog at Rover Park (in White Rock) every morning, and she is ALWAYS on the leash. Almost every day, I experience people letting their dogs run loose.

In the past, almost every morning a huge collie would come up to my dog that was only half the size, but the owner would never call him back.

Many young mothers frequent the park with their young children, and having dogs running free may pose a danger to them.

The County finally posted signs at Overlook Park that dogs have to be on a leash at all times except when in the dog park. I think it’s time for the County to finally post a sign that dogs are to be leashed when entering Rover Park.
