Letter To The Editor: Don Taylor Says Thank You

By Don Taylor and Family
Los Alamos

On behalf of myself and my family, I would like to say thank you to everyone that has reached out to us during this difficult time.

My wife Heidi was diagnosed with stage four ovarian cancer in December 2008. Heidi was a strong woman and with modern medicine, the doctors at UNM Cancer Center, and her family and special friends, she as well as all of us fought this as long as we could.

She was special to all who knew her and she is greatly missed. The support from this community has kept us strong and will keep us moving forward.

Heidi and I always thought Los Alamos was a special place, but I had no idea how special it truly is until now. Many of you have reached out to myself and my family to express your thoughts, kindness and love. There are no words to say how much this has meant to us, other than thank you.

As far as my future plans, I will continue to do what I do best and what I enjoy; creating special memories for all of you. Los Alamos will always be my home.

Finally, my family and I would like to personally thank you and invite you to celebrate Heidi’s life with us Sunday, April 24. We will be having an open house celebration from noon to 3 p.m. in our home, 689 Quartz St. We hope to see you there.
