Letter To The Editor: Response To Allen McQuiston

Apropos the write up by Mr. Allen McQuiston in the post Sunday, this article is meant to alert the home owners about ensuring adequate insurance coverage to ensure the home owners are not the losers, which is in the right perspective.

However this prompts me draw attention to Mr. Allen McQuiston and others in the ‘insurance industry’ as to the wanton delays in settling even genuine claims defeating the very purpose of having an insurance coverage either resorting to ‘small prints’ ‘exceptions’ etc. or without any reason whatsoever.

I did personally notice that a genuine claim for ‘roof damaged’ ‘due to high winds’ at Los Alamos residential area in beginning of 2022 was inspected and claim filed in Feb 2022 but despite every inspector who came about the claim and personally saw and accepted the damages as genuine, was finally settled in September 2022 … thus resulting in the ‘insured Los Alamos senior citizen’ to undergo unwanted hardships….!!!

Similarly a respectable lady of Los Alamos who met at Albuquerque, with some ‘signal jumping driver’ hurting her and damaging her car in September 2021 [she was in hospital for 7 months before she could resume her customer related duties with her employer] even by end of 2022 is still running around to get her claim settled!!!!

What I have hinted may be a sample ‘drops’ in the ‘behavioral pattern’ of some insurance companies whereby the whole ‘insurance industry’ gets a bad name?
