Letter To The Editor: Sala Partnership

By MARCIA LUCAS

I am disappointed, but not surprised, to learn that once again, County Staff are the bottleneck in a process to improve the quality of life in Los Alamos. Time and time again I hear from friends who own businesses in our town how they cannot improve their business because County Staff get in the way.

If Mr. Saenz were to take his ideas to a banker (using the term generically) you better believe said banker would weigh the pros and cons, the benefits and the risks, to his bank and would offer consideration. The petitioner would know promptly what obstacles might impede his success, AND how  to overcome those obstacles. In no time at all the two business professionals would come to an agreement to proceed, or not.

Just who are we hiring to handle these interactions with our very vital business community?
