Marlane HamiltonThe hard work of many dedicated volunteers resulted in a successful Northern New Mexico Holiday Arts and Crafts Fair Saturday, Nov. 22. In addition to the Los Alamos Arts Council, the fair benefited from the efforts of several food vendors (Dave’s Dogs, Platero Fry Bread and Navajo Tacos, Houdini’s Kettle Corn and Grandma’s Kettle Corn) who provided the food and beverages for the event.
As always, a big thank you goes to our board members and volunteers who spent many hours in preparation, as well as time staffing the fair. LAAC is fortunate to have a wonderful group of volunteers who assist us with this and other events. Among them are Lisa Lloyd, Bill Hamilton, Michael Donnelly, Terry Goodwin, Tadg Woods and several students from the Los Alamos High School National Honor Society. Other students from LAHS helped during the day as well. We could not manage these events without their help.
LAAC thanks the staff and monitors at Los Alamos Middle School for their time spent helping us with various aspects of the event. We have not held the fair at the Middle School since the renovation. The new facility worked very well. Rentals coordinator Katie Rosenbaum was a delight to work with, which helped make for a successful fair.
We appreciate all of the people in the community who attended the fair, making purchases from the artists. The Arts Council is grateful for this support. Thank you all! See you at the Spring Arts and Crafts Fair in May 2015 on the lawn at Fuller Lodge.
