Repaving Project Begins On U.S. 84/285 In Española
NMDOT News:
ESPAÑOLA — The New Mexico Department of Transportation (NMDOT) along with Brasier Asphalt Inc. will begin a pavement rehabilitation project today, April 19, on N.M. 106 in Española.
Work will take place on US 84/285 from mile marker 188.3 to 189.3 (Santa Clara Bridge) 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday. One lane will be closed during working hours and a pilot car will be on hand to guide motorists around the roadwork area.
All traffic control devices will be removed at the end of each workday, and all lanes of traffic will be reopened.

Environment Department Testing For PFAS In Private Groundwater Wells Across New Mexico In April And May

SANTA FE — The New Mexico Environment Department (NMED) will test private domestic wells for per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) across New Mexico in April and May 2023.
One or more groundwater wells can be sampled at no cost to the well owners. Limited sampling will be conducted on a first-come, first-served basis, with priority given to those counties impacted by last summer’s fires. Private well owners in Curry, Lincoln, Mora and Roosevelt counties especially are encouraged to sign up by April 21, by completing a short survey at this link or calling 505.205.6964.

Due to flooding caused by spring snow melt, the Jemez District is experiencing hazardous road conditions and closures.

Los Alamos County announced today that Highway Supply, LLC will continue to have traffic control operations in place in multiple locations along Camp May Road through April 20 for event activity management.
The road will remain open during the duration of the project; however, traffic will need to be prepared to stop for intermittent flagging operations.
