COUNTY News:
The Los Alamos Department of Public Utilities announced that crews with its electric distribution division will begin construction activities on the northwest corner of N.M. 502 and Airport Road.
Weather permitting, work will begin as soon as Monday, Dec. 4 and continue through Friday, Dec.15.
Working from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday, crews will upgrade equipment in the area to improve electric reliability for the adjacent neighborhoods. The project footprint is limited to the inside of the curb and should have minimal impacts on traffic.

Detour On East Road Wednesday And Thursday
COUNTY News:
Los Alamos County Traffic and Streets crews will detour west bound traffic on East Road onto the existing median 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Wednesday and Thursday.
The detour will be on East Road between Canyon Road and Central Avenue. East bound traffic will not be affected.
In addition to this detour, crews will cone off a section of the shoulder and sidewalk on Central Avenue at the Old Hilltop House Hotel parking lot. This will not affect vehicle traffic, however, it will affect foot traffic.
