Thom Chacon
COMMUNITY News:
Thom Chacon, affectionately referred to by fans as “the Dylan of Durango”, will make his way from Colorado to play for his Los Alamos followers at 7:30 p.m. Saturday at Fuller Lodge.
Doors will open at 7 p.m.
Chacon is fresh off his Italian tour in support of his latest album, a collection of songs done live in that country, which has adopted him as a second son. Live in Los Alamos, the music promotion non-profit hosting the musician, is thrilled that Chacon has found time in his schedule to include Los Alamos in his plans. The singer-songwriter’s budding film career has taken off of late and, combined with his recording work, Chacon is left with little time for touring these days.
Busy as he is, the artist will feel no rush belting out heartfelt and intuitive tales in the raspy voice that invites his moniker referencing Bob Dylan. The solo performance promises to be a fantastic evening of music, musicianship, and community.
Beer/wine will be available from Bathrub Row and snacks available by donation. There is no dinner service available at this show, though attendees are invited to bring in their own meals (but not drink).
Tickets for the Thom Chacon show can be purchased with cash or check at Los Alamos Schools Credit Union for $25, or at www.liveinlosalamos.com for $28.50.
