COUNTY News:
The Los Alamos County Public Library System will host a Family Fun Night at Ashley Pond Park tonight, July 1, featuring Clan Tynker.
The Hill Stompers will open the evening with their enthusiastic musical performance at 5 p.m. and the circus-style show of Clan Tynker will begin at 6 p.m.
Clan Tynker is a troupe of brothers and sisters who perform a stunning array of talents in a fanciful “Vaudeville” style of Circus. Their all-ages show presents an amazing menagerie of entertainment set to an exciting live musical soundscape. Dazzling juggling skills, stage magic, stilt walking, unicycle riding, Central Asian dance, comedy, audience participation, sword swallowing, and fire-eating will be some of the exciting and fanciful displays during their presentation.
The evening culminates with a dizzying array of danger stunts and climaxes with a spectacular fire performance.
“We’re so pleased to host Clan Tynker once again this year,” said Youth Services Librarian Melissa Mackey, host and organizer of the event. “The event is always a wonderful spectacle full of fun and magic. We’re fortunate they’ll be coming to Los Alamos before setting off on their next big tour.”
The Los Alamos Public Library has also invited several community organizations from around Los Alamos to join the festivities. Many organizations share in the important work of supporting families across Los Alamos County.
