Students and families of Kylie Alvarez from Chamisa and Philippa Fung from Barranca (now a student at LAMS) gathered at the LAPS school board meeting to get a closer look at their designs on the new Los Alamos County waste trucks.
Superintendent Dr. Kurt Steinhaus and the school board members recognized these students for their achievement in helping to inspire others to be a part of the solution and share the message to reduce, reuse and recycle.
Los Alamos County’s Environmental Services Manager, Angelica Gurule will be partnering with the LAPS Art Team to initiate another contest in the near future to adorn two other waste trucks.
