The Los Alamos Dog Obedience Club (LADOC) and the Friends of the Shelter hosted Joey Padilla, CTC, CPTA-KA, of Santa Fe Tails Dog Academy, Daycare and Resort for a seminar Sunday.
More than 20 LADOC members and Los Alamos Animal Shelter volunteers learned new techniques in dog training and teaching dog training classes. A highlight of the morning was a mini “class” in which Joey instructed volunteers in how to train several eager Shelter dogs.
Participants gained a wealth of new ideas and inspiration for teaching classes to the community and helping Los Alamos’ shelter dogs.
