CHAMBER News:
Over the last two weeks, the Los Alamos community has come out to generously support the seven businesses vandalized March 28.
Soon after the break-ins, Los Alamos Commerce and Development Corporation (LACDC) set up an account at Enterprise Bank & Trust to receive donations to assist these businesses in paying their insurance deductibles and damages.
The account closed Monday, April 13 and the funds will now be evenly distributed among China Palace, Daniel’s Cafe, Gracie Barra Los Alamos Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Petree Garden Center, Subway, Top Nail Salon and Viola’s.
A separate reward account was set up by the Los Alamos Police Department for information leading to an arrest of the person or person behind the break-ins. That investigation is ongoing.
The community can continue to safely support all Los Alamos County businesses impacted by pandemic-related closures by ordering takeout, choosing delivery, shopping local businesses online when available, and purchasing gift cards for use at a later time.
LACDC, the Los Alamos Chamber of Commerce and Los Alamos MainStreet thank Enterprise Bank & Trust for its assistance in setting up the account and thank the Los Alamos community for supporting these businesses during this difficult time.
