COMMUNITY News:
The Los Alamos Geological Society will host its annual Earth Treasure Show 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 2 and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 3, at the Pajarito Masonic Lodge #66, 1400 N. Sage Loop.
This year will be the 54th year the society has put on the show. Admission and parking is free. Many dealers will sell minerals, fossils, jewelry, and much more.
There will be a children’s craft table and the Wheel of Fortune for kids to try their luck.
The show will have silent auctions sponsored by the club. Geodes will be on sale and the geological society will provide a cracker so attendees can be the first to see inside!
Club members and the New Mexico Bureau of Geology and Mineral Resources will have display cases of mineral specimens around the world.
Food will be available for purchase by Yapopup (Indigenous soul food from Ohkay Owingeh).
