The Los Alamos Historical Society is inviting members and non-members to join its unique bus tour to the historic site of the first man-made atomic blast, Trinity Site, March 31 through April 1.
Located within the vast United States Army White Sands Missile Range in southern New Mexico, the Historic Landmark Trinity Site including the Schmidt/McDonald Ranch House are open to the public only twice a year. April 1 is the spring opportunity this year.
Beginning and ending in Los Alamos, the Historical Society’s chartered coach tour includes a two-day, one night experience that approaches Trinity Site from the southeast. This route allows participants to view the Jornada del Muerto and Trinity Site from the heights of Mockingbird Gap.
The cost per person starts at $550. Included in the cost is comfortable travel aboard a restroom-equipped coach, one night hotel stay in Alamogordo, two lunches, hotel breakfast, entrance fees, and Los Alamos experienced and knowledgeable guides.
