Los Alamos History Museum Director Judith Stauber and Los Alamos Historical Society Board Member Michael Redondo met Aug. 3 with colleagues at the US Embassy in Tokyo. They shared news of the developing partnerships with our counterpart museums in Hiroshima and Nagasaki as well as their plans to attend the memorial ceremonies Aug. 6 and Aug. 9 in those two cities.

The current visit by Stauber and Redondo is a part of the ongoing Los Alamos/Japan Project that began with an initial visit in 2016 by Los Alamos History Museum representatives. That visit followed months of email communication between the staffs of the respective museums.

The latest trip by the Los Alamos team has made headlines with coverage in The Japan News, one of the country’s largest national newspapers.
